Walking routes
Bois des Rêves offers a variety of walks that are as different as they are accessible, through the woods, along the water, Nordic, invigorating or rejuvenating. All you have to do is choose the one that inspires you.
Through the woods:
- Walk from La Baronne to Bois des Rêves (2.6 km)
- Natura 2000 walk in the Bois des Rêves (2.5 km)
- Wavre Valley walk (3 km)
- Contemplative or invigorating Nordic Walking (3.4 km)

Orientation routes
At Bois des Rêves, there is no need for a compass or azimuth calculation, our orientation routes are intended to be fun and accessible to everyone, alone or with family.
Equipped with a map offered by the Domain and by our partner, the Louvain-la-Neuve orienteering club (LOST), you set off to discover Bois des Rêves through the search for landmarks scattered along the route, numbered and equipped with a punch system to certify your passage.
Three routes are at your disposal. Ready ? Let’s go !
- 6-8 years “Green route” – The playground (+- 500 m)
- 9-12 years “Blue route” – Around the pond (+- 1.5 km)
- > 12 years “Red route” – In the woods (+- 3 km)

Your itinerary is available free of charge at the Domaine reception desk and in the display racks at the entrance to the Brasserie.
Totemus hunt
Discovering the woods and water in all their forms
As a real full-scale scavenger hunt, the Totemus treasure hunt helps you discover the woods and water in all their forms. Solve the puzzles that present themselves to you in the company of Mani, the curious and mischievous little spider. Will they lead you to the famous Totem?
This 6 km hunt will take you from the Water and Fountain Museum in the heart of Bois des Rêves to the lake of Louvain-la-Neuve. (6.2 km) (+- 2h15)

Available on the free app Totemus, this treasure hunt was carried out in collaboration with Museozoom, the Water and Fountain Museum, Bois des Rêves, Destination Brabant wallon and Walloon Brabant.
Geocaching
Geocaching is the modern, fun version of treasure hunting. Relive the excitement of approaching a hiding place with a clue or object, guided by your smartphone’s GPS coordinates through the unusual sites of Bois des Rêves.
