Opening hours
The Bois des Rêves is open to the public:
- 1 October to 31 March: 8am – 6pm
- From 1 April to 31 May: 8am – 8pm
- From 1 June to 30 September: 8am – 9pm


Info point
You can obtain free maps of hiking trails, orienteering routes and other information about Bois des Rêves activities at the Info Point (located near the bank to the left of the pond).
The opening hours and days of the Info Point may vary depending on the number of visitors.

Le Bois des Rêves has been awarded the Bienvenue Vélo label, and offers cyclists a range of services and facilities tailored to their needs. These include bike parking spaces, a repair kit and information.

How much does a visit cost?
Entry of the Domain is free, there is a charge for parking: €2 for entry and €20 for a one-year subscription.
Is there a charge to take part in activities or go to events?
Some events or activities can be charged. Check our Agenda or Facebook page for all the practical details of our events.
What is the price to fish by the pond?
2 rods/person

How do I pay for fishing?
From 8.00 am, you can set up at the edge of the pond. The ranger will come by later in the day to collect payment.
What are the possible methods of payment?
We accept cash and the following cards: Bancontact, credit cards Visa and Mastercard.
Luncheon vouchers are not accepted in the various catering points on the Domain.
Can I buy a fishing pass?

What should I do if I have lost my season ticket?
If you have lost your fishing subscription, you can go to the rangers office. However, it is not possible to duplicate your parking subscription.

How to get to Bois des Rêves
Bois des Rêves is located at the following address: Allée du Bois des Rêves, 1 in 1340 Ottignies-Louvain-La-Neuve. If you are visiting us by car and have a GPS, you can enter the address “Bois des Rêves”. Access to the Domain is also signposted from the RN25.

Are there parkings available?
We have two paying parkings (€2 charge).
Parking P1: 210 places with places for coaches and people with reduced mobility
Parking P2: 400 places
Can I charge my electric car?
It is not yet possible to charge your electric vehicle in the parking.
Can I come to Bois des Rêves with my motorhome?
Please refer to VisitWallonia.be to find a regulated pitch.
Is the Domain’s infrastructure accessible to people with reduced mobility?
A parking area reserved for people with reduced mobility (PRM) and accessible to disabled card holders is located in Parking P1.
Some of the footpaths are accessible to users of strollers, wheelchairs or walkers. However, the forest paths can be a challenge in terms of accessibility.
The sanitary facilities and the entrance to the Brasserie are also designed to be easily usable by people with reduced mobility.
Are bicycles, mountain bikes and scooters allowed on the site?
No. For safety reasons and to ensure the tranquility of our visitors, bicycles and scooters are not permitted inside the Domain. Soft mobility is only possible on the mountain bike trail and on the cycle path linking Ottignies to Louvain-La-Neuve through BDR.
Can I bring my dog?
For reasons of hygiene and safety, they are not allowed on the playground.
We ask owners to be respectful of the site and to pick up after their dogs.

Catering
Is it possible to get something to eat?
You can have a meal at the Brasserie, which offers a self-service restaurant.
It is open at the following times:
- October 1 to March 31: 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
- From 1 April to 30 September:
- 10 am to 7 pm at weekends and during school holidays
- 10 am to 6 pm on weekdays
There’s also a takeaway point opposite the playground, where you can nibble on ice creams, waffles, popcorn and granitas, or enjoy a refreshing drink as well. The opening hours and days of this takeaway point vary depending on attendance, the season and the opening hours of the Domain.
Can I bring my own picnic?
You can enjoy a picnic in the specially equipped area of the playground at the entrance to the Domain. Feel free to use the provided benches to enjoy your meal outdoors in a pleasant setting.
Services
How can I book a BBQ area?
Reservations are compulsory and can only be made by e-mail: barbecues.bdr@brabantwallon.be. Reservations will only be confirmed once payment has been received.
Rental costs €80.00 (+ €50 deposit on site) for an area of up to 40 people and €120.00 (+ €50 deposit on site) for an area of up to 60 people.
The barbecue season runs from March 30 to September 30, from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. The area can only be occupied from 11:00 am onwards, once you have provided proof of identity and a deposit of €50/site (in cash), which will be retained by the warden and returned at the end of the period once everything has been checked and found to be in order.
Each area has benches and tables to accommodate your guests, as well as BBQ bins and grills. You’ll also have access to water and electricity.
You’ll need to bring your own charcoal, provisions and crockery. No additional equipment (BBQ tray, charcoal, crockery, fridge, etc.) can be rented or made available.
You are responsible for cleaning the space yourself (equipment on site). An inventory of fixtures is drawn up on your arrival by the warden and on your departure, when the deposit will be returned to you if the space has been put in order and no damage or missing equipment has been noted.
How do you find a lost child?
Lost children are immediately taken to the warden’s lodge near the pond.
Is there a space for changing the children?
The Domain’s toilets are all equipped with changing tables. Toilets are available inside the Brasserie and at the rangers pavilion.
Do you have a microwave for heating children's meals or bottles?
Our Brasserie is equipped with microwaves so that you can heat up your baby’s bottle or baby food.
Is it possible to hire bicycles?
No, it is not possible to hire bicycles. For the mountain bike trail, you must use your own bikes.
Where can I park my bike?
Do I need to bring my own fishing gear?
Yes, as we do not hire out equipment.
Is it possible to hire venues at the Domain?
No, it is not possible to reserve venues.

Lost property and lockers
What to do if I lost something in the Domain
Lost items found by Bois des Rêves teams are kept in the rangers pavilion. The rangers service can be contacted on 0476/012701 during opening hours or by email at boisdesreves@brabantwallon.be.
Don’t hesitate to call back within a few days, as some items may take several days to be returned.
If the item has been found, you must go to the rangers to collect it. Lost items are not sent by post.
Are there any lockers available for storing bags?
No, unfortunately we do not have any lockers.

What safety measures and regulations apply on the estate?
To ensure that you have a pleasant time on our site, a team of sworn rangers are on hand to provide you with information and, for your safety, ensure that the rules are respected.
